Vladimir Novakovic, AIA, NCARB

With nearly 20 years of experience, Vladimir Novakovic, AIA, NCARB serves as a principal of Perspectus Architecture. The Cleveland-based architectural practice is well-regarded for strong architectural design and business excellence – delivering creative solutions in master planning, design and project management for academic, senior living, commercial, government, hospitality and retail projects, with a major emphasis on healthcare design. The company and its management team are proud to be recognized with numerous accolades including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award Finalists, Weatherhead 100, NEO Success Awards, and various AIA/IIDA Design Awards. Perspectus is strengthened by two recent acquisitions – one with HFP/Ambuske Architects, Inc. bringing additional talent in healthcare design and the second with Chambers, Murphy & Burge Historical Architecture, an AIA Ohio Gold Medal Firm. Akron-based Chambers Murphy & Burge has been a leader in Historic Preservation for more than 50 years and now operates as a Studio of Perspectus Architecture.

Vlad excels in design leadership for major healthcare and institutional clients, demonstrating his planning, design and construction administration experience. He is skilled at managing project complexity related to healthcare and clinical lab projects. Vlad led the Perspectus design team in the completion of Cleveland Clinic’s state-of-the-art Robert J. Tomsich Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Institute.

Vlad earned a Bachelor of Science in Fine & Professional Arts, a Bachelor of Architecture, and a Masters of Architecture, all from Kent State University’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design. Vlad later served as an Adjunct Professor for Design at KSU CAED and is the school’s AIA Cleveland liaison. He was recognized by Engineering News Record as one of the Midwest’s Top 20 Under 40 and was featured as one of Crain’s Cleveland Business’ “Forty Under 40” Class of 2012.
