April Smucker

April Smucker is the Administrative Director of Construction for ProMedica Health System based in Toledo, Ohio. She leads a staff of project managers and is responsible for planning, construction and design for all capital projects in the system. In addition, she also leads the facility team in the operations of the downtown headquarters campus. She has over 21 years of experience in the construction industry including roles with an engineering firm and general contractor. Working for a general contractor equipped her with valuable project management acumen while strengthening her collaboration skills and ability to develop strategic alliances.

Prior to joining ProMedica, April worked as the Director of Facilities and Construction where she was responsible for all aspects of facility improvements, capital projects and maintenance for long term care facilities in four states. April lead maintenance teams to achieve efficiencies, best practices and implement preventative maintenance programs.

She currently serves on the boards for both Hannah’s Socks and The United Way, Women’s Initiative.

April holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Technology from The University of Toledo and a Master of Business Administration degree from Bowling Green State University.
