Steve Korte

Steve Korte is a seasoned professional civil engineer and the Chief Operations Officer at The Kleingers Group, with over three decades of experience in site development, drainage, grading, and roadway design. For the past 27 years with Kleingers, he has advanced land development and public infrastructure projects through the design of stormwater management and pollution prevention systems. With extensive experience navigating complex permitting processes at the state, county, and municipal levels, Steve has contributed to many of the region’s landmark projects. His leadership has guided Kleingers’ technical excellence and operational growth, including serving over 15 years on the firm’s Board of Directors and as Treasurer.

Steve is a strong advocate for environmental conservation and currently serves on the Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors, working to protect southwestern Ohio’s freshwater resources. He is also passionate about education and mentoring the next generation of engineers. A proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s College of Engineering, Steve serves as a UC Adjunct Professor, where he helped launch the department’s first-ever course on “Site Design for Engineers, Architects, and Constructors.” His professional and community involvement includes the DePaul Cristo Rey High School Board, ASHE, ULI, ASCE, and NAIOP. Whether leading a complex engineering effort or mentoring future engineers, Steve is committed to building stronger, more sustainable communities.
