Central Ohio: Boots on the Ground – Tales from the Project Front Lines

  • The May 2026 Roundtable was titled: Boots on the Ground – Tales from the Project Front Lines
  • Field leaders shared that schedule compression often occurs before construction begins.  Once work starts, they often feel they are expected to recover lost time, which can impact morale, trust and ultimately performance.
  • A few themes clearly stood out:
    • Early, inclusive collaboration matters
    • Communication is everything
    • Trust and culture accelerate performance
    • Leadership sets the tone
    • Front-end planning is critical
  • Bottom Line:  Better project outcomes are achieved when teams collaborate early, communicate openly, build trust intentionally, and align around realistic expectations.
