Stephanie Drenten Ferro

Serving as a Project Manager and Energy Engineer, Stephanie plays an integral role in developing client relationships, forming strategic partnerships, and executing successful projects. She serves as a technical translator to help clients and partners understand design and sustainability opportunities, leading to better project outcomes and increased innovation. She is skilled in sustainable planning and design, renewable energy, commissioning, and retro-commissioning, with a focus on maximizing energy efficiency while maintaining occupant health and well-being.

She has been an active member of Cleveland 2030 District Board, a chapter of the national 2030 Building Challenge for Carbon Neutrality, where she currently serves as Board Chair. In this role, Stephanie leads and steers the board composed of A|E|C and community leaders to create high-performance building districts throughout Greater Cleveland. She is currently an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services in Cleveland. She was a member of the Association of Energy Engineers from 2011 to 2015, and served as the Treasurer for the Columbus Chapter in 2013-2015.

In her tenure at HEAPY, Stephanie has served as a formal and informal mentor to dozens of colleagues, currently serving as a formal mentor to two less experienced colleagues and helping them grow and navigate the complex A|E|C industry.

She holds a master’s degree in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She is an Engineering in Training (EIT), a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Commissioning Technician (CxT).
