Pat Klanac
Pat’s first “driving together” project experience was as the lead mechanical engineer during design and construction of the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Cincinnati (1992-1995). The project involved early engagement of a construction manager with a strong MEP Coordinator, internationally known design architect, local architect of record, theater consultant, acoustical engineer, structural engineer, and owner’s representative. The collaborative environment of the owner, design and construction team resulted in outstanding project results. This had a great influence on the early formation of Pat’s career imbedding within him the value of teamwork and positive relationships.
Since then Pat has had engineering responsibility for various facility types including major data centers, healthcare facilities, research laboratories, higher education facilities, commercial office buildings, and industrial/food processing facilities. Each project has brought unique experiences that continue to add “arrows in his quiver”.
Serving PTA Engineering, Inc. as President, Pat enjoys guiding the firm’s teammates so they can be enriched and rewarded by the ways of operating collaboratively.
Pat is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Dayton and a licensed engineer. He is recognized as an Accredited Tier Designer for data center design, LEED AP, and has achieved a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. He is a current Executive Board Member of Cogence; and sits on the Advisory Council for Mechanical Engineering at The University of Akron.
