Chris Halapy

Chris began his career at Shook as a co-op and has spent nearly 30 years learning all facets of the construction industry through working in general contracting, construction management, design-build and program management roles both on public and private projects.  Chris serves as President & CEO for Shook, responsible for the overall strategic direction and results of the organization. He is a past Cogence Board Member.  He also serves on the board of the Construction Employers Association and the Associated General Contractors of Ohio.  Chris enjoys the relationship aspects of the business and takes pride in helping young professionals and small and diverse businesses grow. He is a graduate of The University of Dayton School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Chris is a registered Professional Engineer in The State of Ohio and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is a native Clevelander.
